How to Practice These Conversations

To improve your Bengali speaking skills, don't just read these conversations. Speak them aloud. Practice both sides of each conversation, repeat difficult sentences several times, and try replacing words with your own information.

For example:

আমি ঢাকায় থাকি।
Ami Dhakay thaki.
“I live in Dhaka.”

You can replace ঢাকায় (Dhakay) with সিলেটে (Sylhete), লন্ডনে (Londone), নিউ ইয়র্কে (New York-e), or another location.

With regular practice, these simple conversations can help beginners become more comfortable with everyday Bengali speaking, listening, pronunciation, and sentence formation.

From October 2005 to January 2007, the first camera trap survey was conducted across six sites in the Bangladesh Sundarbans to estimate tiger population density. The average of these six sites provided an estimate of 3.7 tigers per 100 km 2 (39 sq mi). Since the Bangladesh Sundarbans is an area ...
